"Boobtacular!"
I don't really have a lot to say, which is the reason I haven't posted anything in awhile. Ten days to be precise. Really I've just been sitting around playing video games the whole time. I haven't felt like working on anything and have barely even looked at my guitar, let alone the thought of playing it for any period of time.

The most recent game to capture (recapture) my attention is City Of Heroes/Villains. I'm on the Freedom server with the global name kainvinosec if anyone wants to chat it up or something. I've got a level 12 Mastermind on Villains and a level 15 Scrapper on Heroes (named Uematsu Murasaki, and Nobuo Murasaki respectively). It'd be fun to team up with someone from the site. =)

Other than that... Nothing really happening. I'm debating on what to work on next, but honestly I don't feel like working on anything. I will, eventually. I know I will because I love creating things too much to ever stop. Just at the moment I've hit some kind of severe downtime wherein I don't want to even think about what I should be working on or what I want to work on. It's harsh, but I'll manage somehow. Anyway... That's all for now.

"The site is doing moderately well."
Selections I is now up for download on the main page and the music page. I took down the older albums from the main page because it seemed to be getting a bit cluttered up here. I'll try to work out a system so that I can keep the Selections albums separate from the regular stuff on the main page. We'll see though.

Also I fixed a small error on the Embracing Fate II downloads where the ID3 tags on Left Breathless actually read "Left Breathlesss" with an extra 's' at the end. Nothing major, but it would've bugged me if I hadn't fixed it. That's about all for now.

"Life is moderately well."
My sickness is starting to let up. There's a major plus. Let's talk about other goings-on shall we?

I'm working on putting up the first installment in a new series called "The 'Best Of' Series" which will be composed of yearly compilations of 20 of my best selected songs from the albums I've released that year. Naturally the one for 2007 covers +255, Em Fate I & II, Championship and Nightmare as well. Four songs featured from each album. It is really actually a pretty good selection. I didn't know I was capable of doing a 'best of' without anyone actually giving me enough feedback as to which were the 'best' from those respective albums. Luckily though, I care about my opinion more than I do anyone else's so I just chose the songs that I felt should be on there. Not my favorites mind you, but the ones that seem to be the best received from what I've seen. Thus the reason it isn't really a 'best of' album, or 'best' anything... It is simply a compilation of selections. Therein, the title of the series is Selections, followed by a corresponding roman numeral. Though, to keep down confusion they will be featured on a page in the music section entitled "The 'Best Of' Series" so people will have an idea of what Selections really is. Confusing enough for ya?! Hell yeah.

There's this movie out. Called Gamers. Watch it.

I'm starting to get back into the mood of wanting to work on something, but I'm just not sure what. I mean, I want Weapon Crisis to be done and I want ICK to be done but I don't want to work on either of them at the moment. I'm considering doing something entirely different but I have no idea what. Maybe another album in the 'Vinosec' series? It would be nice to get back in touch with myself and what I like as opposed to composing or the 'Bands'. I dunno though... I'd really like to go ahead with Weapon Crisis to get it done because I really think it would go well with Taking Out Anger. I also want to get ICK done because I think writing a book is something really special, especially if it means a lot to you, so ICK would be very monumental for me. One of those accomplishments I could sit back and think "Wow. I actually did that. What else can I do?" which is the mindframe I was in after 2007 was over and I had five completely original albums to listen to. Unfortunately that has since wore off and now I'm left thinking along the lines of "Well... What do I do now?". It is an awkward change to go from one way of thinking to another like that. I'm sure I'll figure it out in the next couple of days. Maybe.

Played through the original Final Fantasy again (I beat it once on the NES back in the day and now I'm playing it on my PSP). After I beat it I started another game with different classes (for those keeping track, my first time through was Fighter, Thief, Red Mage, Black Mage (what has come to be known as the 8-Bit Theater group) and my second time through it is Fighter, Black Belt, White Mage, Black Mage). I just got class change and am about to take on the water fiend. Also I've been playing through a game I picked up called Untold Legends: Brotherhood Of The Blade. It reminds me a lot of the Baldur's Gate games for the PS2. So that is pretty fun. I hate that your stats are pretty much worthless, but dual wield is a nice compensation if you're playing a Knight or a Berserker. I guess pets would be the comp for the other two classes (Alchemist and Druid I think... I can't remember though). I'm anxious to beat this one so I can get the second one. Supposed to've improved on the original a good bit apparently (I miss BG2 though with all the undead pets. That was a fun class). And, for some reason I played a mission on FFXII: Revenant Wings today. I dunno why, but it was moderately enjoyable.

Other then that... I dunno. I've been playing my new guitar a good bit whenever I'm sitting at the PC. It feels good, but I just haven't been in the mood. Also for some reason I drug out the old synth machine I bought and have been messing with it. I think, if I decide to go ahead with Weapon Crisis, I may end up using it for some breaks or something to give a bit of a dark techno effect to the metal. I've heard a bunch of other bands do that and it usually sounds pretty nice, but it'll take some time to figure out how to work the synth again (for those curious the synth I'm referring to is a Korg Electribe AmkII).

I think that's all I had to talk about really... I gotta do a bonus track for the Selections album (just a commentary thing, sorry... Can't do another song if it is an '07 collection what with it being '08 and all). I'll try to get it up pretty soon though. I'd love to hear thoughts about it if anyone wants to use the forums or email me... Anyone? Nah. I'm alone... Even though www.EmbracingFate.com is about to break a record. That's right! Very close to breaking a personal record of 1,000 visitors in one month. Sound lame? It is. It is a low number. But for a website that doesn't advertise anywhere, ever... It is better than nothing. And definitely better than it has been doing. Considering there are a few days left in the month, it should go on over. If it does I'll let you know. Next goal? 10,000. Yeah... Someday. I'm done now!

"Balls! I'm sickly.."
So, nothing is really going on. I mean, I'm just lazy as shit. I feel like working on Weapon Crisis and ICK and the Driven Metal Concepts, but at the same time I just can't seem to do it. I try, and I start, and then I stop. It's really messing with me. Plus I'm seeing the first signs of getting sick now. Sinus congestion and sore throat. Also my body temp has been doing that fakeout thing where you feel cold but it's really warm in the room? So I imagine it is just going to get a lot worse from this point on. Also, my head has been kinda... Not dizzy, but in a bit of a haze I guess. Gonna be a shitty week.

The only plus side I really see is that it gives me a reason not to work on the shit I haven't been working on. Instead, I imagine I'll spend the majority of the next few days (or the next week depending on how long this drags out) playing Final Fantasy Anniversary for the PSP and Untold Legends (also PSP). Maybe even take a shot at that Metal Gear Solid game I got for the PSP. Who knows?! Sky is the limit...

I'm currently in the process of doing laundry and it is about time to go switch the clothes over to the dryer so I think that is gonna be all for this news post. I'll check back in when I'm feeling a bit better, or when I do something worth telling you about. Whichever comes first.

"I can't believe I sat through that pile of shit."
After having just finished Cloverfield, I have come to the conclusion that my pre-cognitive opinion on movies should be taken seriously, and that everyone should just go by what I say after I see the trailer. That being said, I have two major references that can backup my claim.

The first is Transformers. The new one. Not the classic shiz. I knew, when I saw the first trailer, that Michael Bay would ruin that film. He'd make it all about humans and the transformers themselves, whether autobots or decepticons, would end up playing secondary roles and have very little to do with the movie. This would allow for everyone else to think the movie is great, while any true fan of the transformers would resent the movie for its inability to reach its full potential. This, to me, makes Michael Bay the human equivalent of evil.

Secondly is Cloverfield. The shaky camera shit didn't work for The Blair Witch, and actors trying to act like real people with writers that try to write dialogue like fake real people, make bad, very bad, combinations. It is moreso important to note that I knew this movie was going to be shit from the first trailer. The fact that it needed a hype as big as this movie had, just to sell tickets, should show anyone that it was a pile of ass. A stinking, pile of ass.

Some of you may be thinking that this movie was okay and that I'm completely wrong about my opinion on The Transformers. To those people I say only this... You are mindless morons that didn't appreciate childhood, and now you're stuck without any appreciation for adulthood. You should all just give up and obey whatever the president tells you to do.

I'm kind of moving away from my topic a bit. So I'll go back to bashing Cloverfield. It sucked balls. I could sit here and site references to the movie all day long, but I don't have to because once you see this movie, you can easily notice all the reasons that it was horrid. The camera, the dialogue, the actors, the monster, the scenes, the dialogue, and most importantly the camera. All of these factors contribute to bringing this movie down. To hell I say, to fucking hell with anyone that thought this movie was good for any reason.

Now for something that revolves around my creative inspirations coming out like shit... The concept for my new form of metal (Driven Metal) is up in the player. Listen, hate it, and look back here tomorrow for another attempt at my recreating the concept in another song (hopefully to better effect this time). THAT IS ALL!

Oh wait, no it isn't. I almost forgot... To Nate, Andrew, and Brooke... Fuck you all for encouraging me to watch this movie. I want my time back. No hard feelings though, I knew it was going to suck even after you told me it was good so you're off the hook. I'm done now.

"I can't believe I'm sitting through this pile of shit."
If you couldn't tell from the title, I'm watching Cloverfield. So far... I hate this pile of shit and I am totally justified in all the hatred I had before I watched it. I'm totally sitting through the whole fucking thing though, just so I can bash it thoroughly.

In other news... I invented a new form of metal today. I call it Driven Metal. It is pure chaos in musical form. I'll have up a couple of examples of it soon... It is completely different from any form of music I've heard before. I'm anxious to share it with the world.

"\/!I)30... Video."
I attempted to do a game review. It came out kinda crappy but for a first attempt it is alright I suppose. You can't understand a damn word I'm saying so I'm definitely gonna slow it down when I get around to doing the next one. Any SNES games you would like to see get reviewed by me? Here's the links and the vid embedded. Enjoy!

"That isn't mayonnaise."
I'm still not liking this De Sent song. I remixed it again with clean verse vocals and demonic chorus vocals. I just don't know... Maybe De Sent and I are just not meant to happen? Perhaps I should move on to the next album in the 'Bands' series and forget about De Sent? Thoughts anyone?! Help...

"Cinco De Mayo! Apparently..."
I opted to try that De Sent song again. Took the best elements from the previous version, kicked it up a notch and BAM! Now we have the new version (top of the player) and the old version (labeled "Alternate Version" in the player) to keep us entertained for awhile. Let me know your opinions. If this is infact the finished version then I'll have a good idea how to work all the other songs on the De Sent album and tomorrow or the day after I'll be able to start working on ICK. Also Pureshadow and I are working on doing some retro snes rpg reviews and I'll keep you guys updated as those come about. So far we're lookin' at Dark Kingdom and The 7th Saga - Mystic Ark. Should be good times!

"It's gonna get depressing from now on."
I finished the first De Sent song, entitled: De Sent. I really like the music and the lyrics. Not really sure about my vocals in it. Any opinions? It is now the only song that is gonna be in the player for a long while I'm afraid. This album I'm kinda keeping under wraps until I get it completely finished. Also, tomorrow (maybe) I get to start writing my first novel (or novella depending...). This is looking to be a good month peoples. Keep checking back for more info!
