I recorded the music for it today (no time to do lyrics and vocals before it got too late to scream) and I gotta say it represents the whole album so well... Just got the bonus track to go. Hopefully I'll get it done tomorrow. It's gonna be kinda cool recording all the main riffs from this album again. A weird yet fun way to wrap everything up with closure. That's about it for now I guess.

The place that hosts my website is moving all my files to some other server on Friday the 28th of March. Just wanted to let everyone know there will be a 48 hour window where the site may not be up but when it get's back up we should have increased speeds and stuff I'm told. So, that is pretty cool I think.

For Never is getting closer and closer to being done as the days go on. The last two original songs are already recorded except for the vocals because I haven't written lyrics for them yet. But, hopefully tomorrow or the day after they'll be done and I can finish up the bonus track, upload the isht and be on my way to Oklahoma. With any luck everything should go smoothly. Another new song up in the player. Just Fall came about kinda awkwardly. I mean, the music is awesome by itself but no matter what lyrics I added it seemed to just degrade the quality. I found a good medium but I liked it better as an instrumental. Ah well... 3 more to go.

The new version of Culture is up in the player now too. Got it finished today. I'm thinking there may be something still off about the mastering so I might go back and fix that on all the tracks today or tomorrow or something. Gotta listen some more to be 100% sure though. Dunno what's on the agenda for tomorrow but I want to try and have For Never finished sometime this week so I can go visit family before the 30th. Shouldn't be too impossible. Just got like... What? Four songs left. Yeah, I can do four songs in a week no prob. So, yeah.

New song (Given It All) is up in the player. This one took me two days to do because of the awkward timing/feel of the initial guitar riff. It was a pain to sync the drums up with it properly. Anyway, enjoy!

What's up?! It's a good day for reasons that are rather unknown to me. I can assure you that things are going well. Let me prove it.

He's also apparently gonna do another one for me or something too. I can't be happier. I mean, it's freakin' awesome. Look at it. Seriously. Look. See? Freakin' crazy-great. Anyway!

I think I've finally got the mixing for Taking Out Anger as perfected as it's going to get. You can listen to the new mixes over in the player. Try comparing the new mixdowns to some major bands like Breaking Benjamin, 12 Stones, Alter Bridge, etc. etc. Should be pretty freakin' close. Either way, I'm pretty happy with how the songs sound so I'm gonna keep 'em that way. Also I have the new tracklisting for the album now that I've cut the number of songs down. Check it out.

So there ya go. There was one song I was wary of cutting out called "Beneath Time" which... I dunno. I just really like that title. So I decided to promote it from song title to album title. Not for Taking Out Anger, but De Sent instead. So De Sent's first album is going to be called Beneath Time. Not bad eh?

That's about all that's really going on now. Thanks to the mixing finally being finished I'm gonna start working on the actual songs again. Probably crank out Given It All tomorrow if I feel frisky enough. Which I think I might now that the mixing is done. Have I mentioned that the mixing is done? Yeah. It makes me feel special.

Let's get the technical isht out of the way and then I'm gonna rant about how depressed I am. Why? 'Cause that's what this website is for. I mean, it's all me so I can use it for whatever I want. Even an outlet for depression. Woot...

So I've been making beats for Vince and I've made five total. He's only using one at the moment but there's another one up that I'm hoping will satisfy the need for a second beat. The one he's using is VD and the one I'm hoping he'll use as the second is Fool House. Both are in the player, as is the failed one simply titled House. So, have a listen. The mixes are weird because I'm trying to mix them for his use and not really focusing on mixing them for Embracing Fate III yet. Which, they will eventually end up on.

Ick hasn't made any progress since I finished the chapter art except for the fact that I finished the preface. Honestly I want to work on it, I'm just putting it off because I don't really have the drive and inspiration to work on it lately... I've been in a weird mood jumping at everyone that even bothers to say hi to me. Ask Sid man. He's caught the worst of it by far. Sorry brother!

So, Ick will get done and I'm still planning to work on it. Just haven't been in the mood to do anything lately. It sucks. I will say this though: I've become fucking addicted to House M.D. That show is the dick's pajamas man. Freakin' awesome. Makes me feel smarter just watching it. Plus it's amazing that I got interested in it so shortly after falling in love with all the old Sherlock Holmes stuff which is what House was based off of. So that's pretty awesome I must say and it's just been enjoyable to get interested in a series again like I am with Smallville or was with Veronica Mars.

In other news the Taking Out Anger stuff hasn't made any progress because I've been too busy focusing on Vince's isht. I've decided to shorten the length of the 'Bands' albums to 10 tracks instead of 14 like I was planning (but there will still be a bonus song for the full album version bring the total to 11 (and originally 15) songs). I'm hoping to get interested in working on that stuff again in the next few days, but like I said... I've just been in a weird place.

Part of the reason I think is because I'm just really starting to feel the whole 'being single' thing. I mean, I've been single for the vast majority of my life so I'm pretty used to it. But the past week or two have just been cruel. That and I still don't know where my life is going after July. It's all up in the air at that point and I'm seriously scared of where I might end up. Nothing I can do about it now unfortunately, but nonetheless it's rather problematic.

So, I guess what I'm saying is that I need a girlfriend and a place to live. Anyone got any ideas/offers? Hey, it's a longshot but I had to try. Besides, out of the whole ten people that even know this website exists I don't expect much in the form of a response. Which, by the way, use the forums you bastards. They're just going to waste with no one posting on them. Post gibberish. I don't give a damn. Spit curses at me or something but give their existence a purpose.

Oh, in other news I also bought a PSP Slim with Final Fantasy Tactics: War Of The Lions and Metal Gear AC!D. The Metal Gear game was a huge disappointment. I'm not a fan of card games. FFT is just as sweet as I remember it though. And, I've got a copy of Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core reserved over at E.B. Games. Looking forward to picking that up at the end of the month.

Good news! I can still finish something that I start!

And today I've finished the chapter art for the first ICK book. All ten chapters and the cover/logo are completely done and super specially B&W'd so they'll be as easy to print off as the text. Possibly even easier. Mwa ha! And, the B&W thing hides my horrible drawing skills to some extent. Pretty good setup if I do say so myself.

Aside from me drawing my ass off to get all that done not a lot has really been happening. Just been watching a lot of movies. Also watched the entire Death Note anime and I must say it was glorious. Freaking glorious. It's amazing how much the anime and the live action movies differ with their endings. Either way I wasn't happy. I think the other guy should've won. Maybe he wins in the manga? I guess I'll have to read 'em and find out. Again. Mwa ha!

Aside from all that I'm getting closer to having the TOA mix done. I really haven't wanted to work on it for the past few days because I just freaking hate mixing. I know I'm close and after I find the right mix I'll be able to finish the rest of the album but it's just so tedious. It's like running a ton of experiments and not really knowing what the chemicals you're working with do. If you can imagine that.

Anyway. I should have an ICK wallpaper up on the Free Isht page soon. I made it already but I'm lazy and no one comes to this website or gives a damn so why should I? Why indeed...

I'm freaking SWAMPED with projects and crap right now. I've got the Taking Out Anger album which is driving me nuts because I can't get the mix right so all the songs sound weird. Which is another project in and of itself.

I've got the book I'm working on (ICK, the new one. The Hole was the one I gave up.) which before I can start writing said book I have to do a bunch of drawings for the chapters and the cover. Which is what I've been doing the past two days. Then, y'know after those are done I have to actually write the thing. So, yeah.

Also Vince Doherty is using one of my beats in one of his songs and has now asked me to do another one for him. So, I've gotta make another new beat on top of the TOA album and my mixing problems. That's kinda cool though. I've been wanting to work with Vince for awhile now. So, that's not really a complaint.

Plus, after August I have nowhere to live. So I'm trying to straighten that out too. All of this, not to mention the projects I haven't been working on (the comics on the website come to mind). So, yeah. After the Taking Out Anger album gets finished I'm going on another break to visit my family in Oklahoma and wind down before tackling all the other isht going on.

Sorry you all had to listen to me vent. I feel better now though if that's any consolation. Also? I've got some awesome good news.

Nobuo Uematsu, the composer for the Final Fantasy games had a concert with Arnie Roth in Chicago last night. Brooke attended the concert and a meet-and-greet afterwards with Uematsu himself (you can't believe the jealousy...). Now, you have to understand that I decided to become a composer because of Uematsu. He's my inspiration through and through. Well, last night my friend did a huge favor for me. I asked her to make a cd with 5 of my songs on it (if I recall correctly the songs were Village Of Hidden Scars, Somber, Pound It, Daniel I, and Evil's Master), print off a note, and give them both to Uematsu for me. Which, she did. So now Nobuo Uematsu, the man I've looked up to since I really got interested in music, has a cd with my songs on it. Granted there's probably a 0-to-1% chance he'll bother listening to it and even smaller than 1% that he'd actually bother contacting me over it. But it is inspiring beyond belief to know that Uematsu himself has even the slightest chance of popping that cd in and listening to even 5 seconds of one of my songs.

Aside from that I'll try to have some of the ICK art up in the next day or so. If nothing else it'll be in a news post. After I get done with the art I may start working on the comics again. I feel bad for having neglected them since like mid-December or something.

Also? The Death Note live action movies were AWESOME. Can't wait for the chance to see the third spin-off about L. That's gonna be good times and I highly recommend them to everyone. Going to watch through the anime pretty soon. Also planning to order some replicas of the notebooks. Why? 'Cause I can. HA!
