Wondering what I've been up to? Me too.

My main project has been remixing the Taking Out Anger tracks (which has now been renamed. Instead of doing the whole fake band spiel I'm just gonna call it "Kain Vinosec's Taking Out Anger"... Same with the other fake bands I was going to create). So far the remixing has gone surprisingly well and the results of the first five tracks are up in the player if you care to have a listen.

Also of note is that I finished Two Hundred Fifty-Five Promised Lies. Again. So it's up there with the other tracks. Going to work on a new track tomorrow called Beneath Time. Should be snazzy.

Also as I've been working on The Hole quite a bit and really getting nowhere, I've decided to discontinue the project before I get too far into it. The reasoning for this is just that I can't write comedy well enough to compose a book entirely in the humorous medium. I apologize if that bugs anyone but I think it would be wiser to focus on things that I CAN do now as opposed to trying to learn a new craft this late in the game.

With that being said, just because one book project was put off doesn't mean I'm not going to keep writing. Instead of The Hole I am going to work on another idea for a shorter book in the children's adventure genre called ICK. It's about a boy with the same name who's parents are ninjas and how he manages everyday life until all hell breaks loose. Should be good times. That's about it for now.

Finished another new TOA song called Dead Eyes. It's a slow one... Um. Sorta. Ish. Might have to re-arrange the tracklisting because of the way this one and Outrage start out... Originally they were going to follow each other but now I think I may have to move some isht.

Tomorrow (hopefully...) I'll get the new version of Two Hundred Fifty-Five Promised Lies finished. WATA!

Remixed Taking Out Anger and Outrage The Innocent. Also finished Proto. It's in the player now too along with the remixed versions. Go me!

Also upgraded the quality of the flash videos on the main page (don't have the original files to update the ones over on the Free Isht page y'know?). They're still not super high quality but they are better than nothing at least. I'll do some more experiments with the next videos I take and see if I can't find a higher quality without too much of a higher filesize.

And O' how bored I was! Got the old videos up on the Free Isht page and changed the F.A.Q. page into an Info section to allow for interviews I've done with people such as the first (and only) interview up there right now, the one I did with Sid back in December.

Thinking about boosting the quality of the vids in my players. We'll see if I get bored enough.

The new version of the song Taking Out Anger is up in the player, and so is the newest TOA song; Outrage The Innocent. Kind of has political undertones but for all you know it could be about The Lord Of The Rings. Hah! Anonymity. Gotta love it.

Good news everyone! I finally started the TOA album. It is called For Never and will have 14 tracks. Had some problems with the vocals on the first song (the new version of their self-titled song from the demo). Hopefully I can get that fixed today and maybe even get the new version up in the player. Gonna start another one today too but this one is gonna be an all new track. Might put it up in the player if I can get it done. We'll see...

Aside from that there really isn't a lot going on unfortunately. I wrote the first little bit of The Hole a few days ago and it came out alright. I just really haven't figured out what I want it to read like yet so I'm kind of leaning back and forth as to whether to keep going with the way I started writing it, or try something else and see if it works better for the comedy. I guess we'll see the next time I get into the mood to work on it.

It's weird sometimes... I have so many projects and ideas in my head and I want them all to be done but it's like I want them to get done so that I can enjoy them. I mean a big part of that enjoyment is sharing them with fans and friends alike, but also I really just want to see the finished products and enjoy them myself. For instance, I want to be able to go for a drive and put on the TOA album and just jam out to... Um. Myself. It's kind of awkward. I mean, I even can't wait for myself to finish writing The Hole so that I can read through it. How screwed up is that? I want to read a book that I'm writing... That's just wrong. Right?

Anyway. Thanks for letting me rant a bit. I wish I weren't so lazy so that some of this shiz would've been done by now. Also, the site doesn't seem to be getting as many viewers as I'd hoped. That is probably my fault. I mean, I should advertise or something probably. But, let's face it. I've got no money and no one on the internet likes me. I'm up for suggestions though if anyone has any. Perhaps the time just isn't right yet... Maybe someday. Until then all I can do is create and hope someone will take notice.

Speaking of taking notice... I've got a plan for the next 'Battles' album. No keyboards, all of it will be done by guitar, bass and my fake-ass drums. It will be called The Unholy Battles and it is going to be the heaviest, metalist, demonicist 'Battles' album ever. No word yet on who the planned narrator is, but I'll see if I can't find someone to help draw a crowd. Maybe... Maybe... him. We'll see.

Aside from that, I've been watching a shi-ton of Star Trek lately and most of my time involves being bored, reading Sherlock Holmes and not thinking about all the projects I should be working on like the TOA album and this beat for Vince (Even though I did get this one done. Ha! Take THAT laziness!) and The Hole. All is finally starting to come around though and I can slowly feel myself getting back in the mood to create. Nice hiatus while it lasted.

Haven't gotten to start writing The Hole yet. Which is the novel I'm working on in case anyone was wondering... It's a spoof of detectives and things of that sort like Sherlock Holmes, CSI, Columbo, yadda yadda. Has it been done? Yes. Has it been done with animals?! Yes (Anyone remember Duckman starring Jason Alexander?). Now has it been done by ME with animals? Not yet. Also, Duckman was a pimp show. I miss it.

No real update at the moment. Just wanted to rant a bit. Sherlock Holmes PWN TEH W3RLD!

I'd show more but I don't remember most of 'em and frankly I doubt there is much of a demand for people wanting to learn how to play my isht. Two vids are how to play the guitar to Taking Out Anger and the bass to Culture in honor of the upcoming full-length TOA album. Should be starting on that soon but first...

Vince wants me to work a bit more on that last beat I sent him. So, I'mma finish that first. Shouldn't be too hard. It needs to sound better anyway.

On a side note, I cannot WAIT to start working on my book again. I've been watching old Sherlock Holmes movies to get myself ready for it. Heh. Holmes was a pimp and Moriarty was a total douche'. Should be a LOT of fun spoofing those guys. That's about it for now!

No updates to the site this time. Just updates to some projects.

Firstly I am going to start working on the first full-length Taking Out Anger album soon. I wanted to start it on Sunday but I've been having a bit of trouble finding the right sound for the guitars and the band in general. I'm getting close to being done though. The bass and drums are pretty much lined up. All I need is to get the guitars juuuust right and we'll be in business. It's gonna be a "14 songs in 14 days" album. As are the rest of the 'Bands' first albums. I'm hoping to get the first four bands made and their first albums done before I move to Cleveland in August (so at the moment that is still the plan).

On Monday I started writing my very first book. It's called The Hole and I'll have more to tell you about it after I get it done. It is pretty short and should only take a month or two. It's most likely going to be a novella. Though if I get really into it and feel like it's doing really well I may extend it into a very short novel. We'll see though. Should be good times.

TimeSplitters 2 has been occupying most of my time lately. Sorry about the lack of comics. I haven't even drawn one for a day or so. I'm going to get back into it soon, I promise. It's just taking me some time to get back into the groove of working my ass off for nothing. That break around x-mas really fucked with my head. I'm getting there though. Promise.

So I hear that Vince says my "Versus" song from Embracing Fate II doesn't fit in with his new album so he can't use it. Fine. So, I just made him another one. Go me!

It's in the player. No highs on the EQ so it might sound a little awkward.

Aside from that, I HAVE been doing a comic a day. I just haven't been uploading them because frankly I've been busy with TimeSplitters 2 and sleep. Both are lovely. I'm no longer affiliated with H.I.N.U. in any way and I may be moving to Cleveland to get an apartment with Sid in August. Times they be a changin' I s'pose.

Anyway. Archives page updated. January was a short month. Mwa ha ha!
